Don't make the issues gendered unless they already are.

Name any issue you think non-gendered.

So, we stop focusing on lowering male suicide or female suicide and focus on ending suicide in general.

While I agree with you in theory, in reality a lot of these issues have gender distinct causes. Take suicides, for instance. What works for women probably won't work for men, and as history has shown these social programs will focus on women to the exclusion of men if left unspecified.

So I like where you're coming from, but I don't think it's entirely practical given the constraints.
