I admit I used to have that mentality. I would think a man wanting to teach 5th grade or below was shocking and potentially dangerous. I have been continuously working on changing my perspective and I recognize it is wrong. I work at an elementary school now and there are no male teachers but one male counselor, 3 male coaches.
