Why are feminist experts on boys and men? Typical that feminists blame men by the actions of a fatherless boy.

An excellent post yesterday asking 'When Will We Have the Guts to Link Fatherlessness to School Shootings?'

'What is the primary way to attack a boy’s masculinity? Strip him of his primary male role model: his father. Over the past 50 years, we have taught women to embrace single motherhood and to cut fathers out of their children’s lives through divorce. Now, thanks to the gun control echo-chamber, it will probably take another 50 years to right the wrongs we've done to our fathers and our boys.'

Also, fatherlessness is measurable, masculinity is not.

"There's going to be a time in your life, if there hasn't already, when you are going to be asked to betray your own values, your own ethics, your own idea of what it means to be a good man, in order to prove to others that you’re a real man," said Kimmel,

What an awful view of masculinity. You have to choose to be good or be a man.

Man shoots up a school. Another man shields children from bullets with his own body. The next day's headline: Toxic Masculinity!"

Erm, could someone elaborate on "denying help" bit?

"I think it means that there is something going on with American men that is giving them the permission and space to commit violence," he said.

'Men are given permission and space to commit violence.'

'Defendant is in jail charged with 17 counts of murder and facing the death penalty.'

Choose one.

"And one of the main things we focus on correctly is guns and mental health, but I think deeper than that is a problem, a crisis in masculinity."

I'm sure this has nothing whatsoever to do with glorifying fatherless homes, discriminating against boys in education, and punitive medication.

It's all of that 'toxic masculinity.'

The problem Black identifies is one feminists have been talking about for decades. It's called toxic masculinity, the stereotypical sense of masculinity that embodies behaviors, such as denying help or emotions, which psychologists and sociologists say are harmful to men and to society. It's the things in our culture — from toys given to movies watched to messages parents consciously and unconsciously send — that tells boys and men "being a real man" means repressing feelings and consistently demonstrating strength and dominance.

Translation: Feminists can create human nature. Boys are infinitely malleable. Rather give boys what they have an interest in, you should program boys with this feminist-approved list of toys and activities. If they resist, drug them.

"That's not your ticket to the good life. It isn't easy to be a man in the United States. Demands put on men — whether it's to be the protector, to be the provider, to respond to situations in certain ways, to prove yourself as a man — end up being not just outwardly destructive but also inwardly destructive."

And who would men have to 'provide' for? Or 'protect'? Or prove their manhood to in exchange for approval?

Oh right...WOMEN.

Provision = Resources

Protection = Capacity for violence

Don't you just love when women try to preemptively reject that their sexual preferences play any part in shaping men's behavior?
