The most widely read authors, discounting Shakespeare because he is studied in school and has hundreds of years head start, are women. Agatha Chritise, Barbara Cartland, and Daniel Steele are the bestselling authors of all time.

Women are not as naturally competitive as men. Then again if you constantly convince them they are at risk of being raped or abused all the time you're not making them any smarter or go-getter.
