Oxford ends women-only fellowship after university rules that it breaches equality law - This is the first time that the university has opened up a historically female-only fellowship to male applicants, and the move has prompted a backlash from previous recipients.

He points out that women have a 50% greater chance of landing an interview - and instead of unjust discrimination, he sees girl power.

Defending his viewpoint, he points out the massive gender imbalance in post secondary education AND the massive gender imbalance in hiring managers. Again, not discrimination but actually just women "getting what they deserve".

Gynocentrism at its finest.

How can that possibly be true when we live in a society that hates women?

I just recently got hired for a job, but only because the only other candidate (female) flaked out of the qualification/contract phase. My field is female dominated, and given the blatantly unfair favoritism shown to women in STEM fields, I basically lose by default in the hiring game. It's really only become apparent to me recently how this may have affected my chances, and part of me wonders how many more phone calls I would've gotten if the name I'd put on the applications had sounded female.

Maybe make bosses also would want to see if any hot girls apply?

Buried in the pack. If the results had been that men had even a 25% better chance the entire article would have been written on that one point.
