I've read a lot (and possibly used myself) the concepts of hard and soft next. But, now I realize I don't know the difference in mechanics of hard texting vs soft nesting myself.

Is a hard-next telling the girl to "go away and never come back" while a soft-next would be just to let her fade away without telling her explicitly? Thanks in advance for the help!
