This study only looked at male perpetrators and female victims. No female on female victims, no male victims. This is a very 'non-inclusive' piece of research. If this gender-based exclusion was intentional, it shows sexism. If unintentional, it shows the 'unconscious biases' of the research authors.

To be fair, the task they put themselves was to determine if there is evidence for the assumption that gendertrolls are mysogynist. In that light, limiting the research accordingly seems sensible to me.

Your argument is tantamount to saying that because the researchers were biased because they only looked at misogyny and ignored misandry, this bias justifies a second bias. No.

One bias does not justify another. They should have looked at both. Using feminism's own ideology, failure to be 'inclusive' (and include misandry) is a form of marginalization. By not including research showing bias against men, the researchers marginalized men.

You are assuming that only men are biased and women are not. In my opinion, most of the issues that concern men's rights advocates are based on unequal treatment under the law (divorce courts, custody, domestic abuse concern only for women despite surveys showing roughly equal male and female victimization). This is bias--dismissing equal treatment for men is misandrous. Looking only for misogyny is itself a form of bias, because you assume or do not care about men.

I am assuming no such things. All I pointed out was that the researchers did what they set themselves out to do. Of course there was some bias in this selection of topic (there always is in social sciences, mostly in a predictable direction); but I could not find evidence of bias in the evidence collection used to respond to the question once posed.

That was all. If you see misandry in such a relatively straightforward observation, then I submit there are other places to look for it first.

I have always had the impression that men that are nasty to women tend to be nasty, full stop - often even more so to men. And any woman could tell you that most of her most overt detractors have been other women...

In fact, although I am certain there is a small minority of men out there who actually hate women, I actually never see any clear evidence of them. Some of the worst of this ilk I have seen on this forum, but even irrational, sweeping comments translating, say, a story of false rape accusations into something like you cannot trust women, seem more motivated by frustration and the echo-chamber nature of the forum than actual, outright hatred of a whole gender.

My My, you are not allowed to mention that Women are nasty and even violent to women due to their innate overcompensation in seeking and acting upon Pair Bonding.

Women never do such things, and only men are nasty. the Patriarchy Mythology requires this else it all falls apart.

Says who?

Of course you can. But ideally, at least for me (who has no right to tell anyone what to do) without making the same mistake as some feminists ranting about toxic masculinity...

Says who?

You are evidently a newcomer to Gynocentric Political Machinations 101.

Interesting.

Most of the time I get that accusation from feminists :)
