I wanted to post this about the *commercial* lol that triggered so many people. Not using the word triggered as a pejorative either, as I legitimately think there was a lot to be disliked about it. The people saying only bad men are triggered by the ad missed that they literally say "not enough men are stepping up" which doesn't exactly translate into "most men are ok people". Logically it doesn't make sense to say "lol the backlash also proves our point, so therefore your dislikes are invalid" either. If an ad like this is made about any other group, they would rightfully be outraged and call it out. What baffles me is that, even if you want to go there and call out "toxic masculinty", lets say that theoretically you could, but how does it make sense to bypass all other toxic behaviours in other groups of people and go straight to "masculinity is connected to bullying and harrassment"? Why not focus on women who don't pull their own weight in the workforce, or women who commit fillicide? Yet i have been de-friended by fellow "MRAs" who thought that ad was good, and I was making a big deal out of it.I feel like i could say more things but I will stop here :D Thanks.
