Women face unique challenges in technology.... Right, like the fact that women on average self-select other roles/jobs? Fundamental to this whole discussion about getting "more women in STEM" is the assumption that women want to work in those fields but are being blocked by le patriarchy. When in reality, women on average just favor other types of jobs. This is anecdotal, but the only women I've ever met IRL who talk about "women in STEM" themselves majored in liberal arts, whereas the one female engineer I know thinks the whole discussion is preposterous.

This makes me so pissed, all of a sudden women in tech are the new hot thing. Like ffs if you can code, why would it matter what gender you are?
