Disgusting isn't it. I'm also regularly bashed with the idea that women make up 50% of gamers. As someone who plays videogames regulary for most of my life this is obviously straight up BS. Yes women play mobile games more. About 77% of the people who have attempted to play on mobile devices are women(yes the "research" defines them as gamers which they clearly are not; if someone who plays a game once for less than an hour is a gamer than me kicking a soccer ball for 20 min. once a year makes me a soccer player) except the games they play are for short periods of time, they spend little to no money, and they play predominantly two types of games, match 3(bejeweled,etc. which I feel was turned into its own genre so that women could be dominant at something other than farmville) and whatever farmville falls under. Any other type of game on mobile devices ranging from sports to action is played mostly by males starting at approximately 98% of the playerbase and decreasing from there.

This is why I dislike people using stretched and out of context information to promote their agenda which is to "takeover" the videogame industry and manage/decide what to "inject" into games that aren't even going to be played predominantly by women in the first place.

I've obtained my difficult to obtain information from various sources though this guy has the most realistic take on it and has the graph of data that shows the types of games men and women play.

On a final note, I have no issue with women playing games, but these people who want to "change" games need to make their own instead of ruining current franchises.
