This is sort of a weird one for me. Perhaps one of very few.

It's being classed as a crime because of the deception. However it's the crown prosecutor's call for charges to be applied. Regular every day people cant force or gain the ability to press charges in the UK.

I've had a women lie directly to me about the long term use of contraception. Was i raped? Do i expect the police to take action if i reported such a thing? I highly doubt my report would result in charges being brought up.

This is unfortunately the other side of the double standard. Prosecutors really want this lady. I'm not sure she's really deserving of criminal charges.
