Some of the best advice I've ever gotten regarding women and how they actually think, was to disregard everything they say, and only judge them on their actions.

The actions never lie.

It's fantastic advice, if what you want is to learn what really makes girls do the things they do. It's not exactly in their nature to be honest about anything they do, because it's usually selfish in nature, and women understand that the perception of women is ultimately what's important, not the reality.

First, I suspect they did not call her "Miss O'Dwyer" at all but just "miss". Flight attendants aren't referring to anyone by their name and they aren't looking at your ticket to determine your name. The attendant looked at your ticket to determine which row of their flying cattle car you belonged to and shoo'd you along.

Second, the fight attendant who performed this act of "everyday sexism" was probably female. Women still make up 75%-80% of that field, I suspect Qantas has an even lower number of male attendants but I've no idea where to find that data. I strongly suspect if the attendant had been male that this lady would have went out of her way to mention the fact, the lack of mention comes across as if she was wanting to conveniently gloss over that tidbit.

Third, its hard to take you seriously when you follow up “I did not spend 8 years at university to be called Miss.” with “This was not about my ego.” Thats exactly what it is and you just admitted as such.

Reminds me of my professor in biology. She did chiropractics on the side and did have a doctorate in chiro. But randomly during her lectures she'd explain something involving a patient of hers, then "yada yada yada, because I'm a doctor". Apparently she had little dick syndrome over people not thinking chiropractors are not doctors. But every opportunity.... "....cuz I'm a doctor".

what i love about this is that she is an "academic" but she is obviously as moronic as shit because she actually undermines her own argument elsewhere (earlier) but is too dumb to realise it.

elsewhere where this is reported they show an old tweet where she made a past issue that she booked a ticket as "Dr" and they wrote "Mr" on the ticket/boarding pass, and she claims it was clearly sexism that they assumed "Man" when they heard doctor and put Mr as an assumption.

but by her own fucking argument/logic, the fact they referred to Dr as Mr in her earlier example is proof that its not sexism when they refered to her as Miss when she wrote Dr, because the action of changing Dr to something else isnt restricted to just women.

This woman is a fucking idiot and has embarrassed herself on the world stage.
