I would say that the #metoo movement is one of the biggest reasons that casual sex is going down. No man wants to risk having sex with a woman and then getting arrested because the woman had regrets and said she was raped. We live in a society where men are guilty until proven innocent. And even without evidence, you are still guilty.

This is definitely 100% not it. Sure the MeToo movement is a small annoyance but the main causes of casual sex declining go far deeper. I'd say a significantly bigger reason would be the rise of the smartphone causing overall real life interactions going down.

People just don't go out as much as they used to. How often have you personally thought "hey I shouldn't talk to this girl cause I might get canceled." I hope for the majority of you it's never because we're not CREEPS about it
