Meh, feels like a they should do for us. Bit like how woman describe their prince on a white horse.
I'd summarize it to this:
Communicate and accept all weirdness involved. We're all just trying to make sense of everything.
That goes for any couple. Whether it be a man and a woman or something else.

Symbiosis works, Exploitation doesn't.
If you are focused on your obligation, and they are focused on theirs. both parties experience a symbiotic benefit. Expecting or demanding action, is entitlement. You should be carful of this as it may result in bad results. Like a failed relationship.
Equal rights is important. OP has learned to take responsibility for her actions and her message is important for men and women to learn.
Thanks for engaging. good chat

One of my past relationships went down in flames because whenever I asked her what she wanted to do she always just gave an answer to something she thought I liked or wanted to do. After some months of this she left me for another dude after cheating on me and her reason was that we never did anything she wanted to do. I mean when I ask you what you want to do for a date night or whatever just say what you actually want and not just lie then blame me for it later. I aint no mind reader.

If only my ex-wife would have been less selfish, egocentric and toxic......And would have read this list....
Now she is living her best life with all these gentlemen ghosting her after some weeks and breaking her heart

To accept the nice things I do for them without a critical eye. I'm a self-sacrificer that wants self sacrifice. I'm more than willing to drop everything and be there if it's also the other way around. I want to listen and understand as long as it's also the other way around. There are some things you don't want to do? That's okay, there's some things I don't want to do, either. Etc. It doesn't have to be perfectly balanced, but I have been in too many relationships where I'm pulling all the weight and being criticized when it doesn't work.

Verbal appreciation is nice. Just letting people know what made you feel good or nice. It helps reinforce positive things

Nice of you to have that kind of advice. But you missed the mark with me. Besides, I'm done trying to have a successful relationship. It works for some, it doesn't work for most, and I'd much prefer not going through the heartache.

Outstanding! thank you for sharing your experience! If you haven't already, share it with other women too! The balance of a healthy relationship is worth the effort.
The biggest thing? Someone to have my back. If you are there, I am ok. You got me.
You said it a few ways in your message.
Thanks for engaging

I’ll tell you what we as men need and I’ll probably get shit for it but here it is. 1. Sex 2. Sandwiches(Food) 3. Peace.
[–]violetskies7 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
my boyfriend would rather have extra cuddles and kisses over a sandwich (although he does like a good sandwich)

What kind of goes along the lines of keep his stomach full and his balls empty. But I would say cuddles and kisses would fall under number one.

Probably, covering half the planet... some boys are different.
Just a thought

How to satisfy a woman... Do literally everything under the sun.
Men? .. Show up naked.... with beer...
Reason. we appreciate fine things.

I don't "need" things from anyone else, especially my SO. I'm independent and I tend to do things on my own, they don't need to do anything for me. If I had to make a list, it would look like:
Respect my independence and I'll respect yours (and you)
Leave me alone when I need to be left alone
Sex, maybe and possibly, I wouldn't care either way

So your name is mean comments....
And your point is to be a dick?
Ummm
Good luck buddy! We all have a purpose!
I mean some are pointless but good luck!

The point of your comment being?
[–]twinkletoestherman -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
To call you a dick, for being a dick.
You been drinking enough water mate?
You choose who you are. You could probably contribute something more useful to society if you put your mind to it.
Sometimes you gotta hit rock bottom before bouncing back though.
See ya then bud

Projection: The Comment(tm). I see how you're contributing to society by calling random people on reddit "dicks" from your mother's basement.
Do you always speak in clichés or are you capable of having an independent thought?
Answer me this will you: how exactly does "having standards" translate to "being a dick"? The post asked what men need from their SO and I shared my personal opinion. You may disagree, which you clearly do, but that hardly makes me a dick.
[–]twinkletoestherman -1 points0 points1 point 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So no recognition of your actions.
And instant attack of my character.
Good luck
[–]evenmoremeancomments 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh wow you do speak in catchphrases. No wonder you accuse people without stating your case.
Same goes for you, you didn't answer my question or explained what makes me a dick, just a baseless accusation of my character which OH would you look at that:
Sounds familiar? Yeah
[–]obligatoryclevername 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's pretty basic. Men aren't hard to please. Be kind. That's it. Just be nice. It's so simple.
