I never said I agree with the particulars of everything he says, what will say with respect to Jordan Peterson is the he inspires dispossessed people to the starting line of their own individual lives. Much of the things that Peterson says, the things which he speaks about in his lectures are abstract with far more pertinence to existential concerns than political or sociological ones.

Peterson is essentially a self-help author who invokes mythological narratives to encourage people to challenge their own sense of personal nihilism; though he occasionally speaks on political matters, he is far from radical.

I am an atheist and a socialist, I don't agree with Peterson's politics. I used Peterson as an example of one of the few public thinkers who actually takes the struggles of men seriously, I could have just as easily used someone like Warren Farrell (who is certainly left-wing, being the first person to actually challenge traditional Masculine expectations).
