Context:

Vice President of San Francisco's School Board goes on a racist rant against Asians being yes-master slaves of white supremacy

Calling Asians: "house nxxxxr" & "the help"

Said board members' (non)apology:

A number of tweets and social media posts I made in 2016 have recently been highlighted. They have been taken out of context, both of that specific moment and the nuance of the conversation that took place.

Now her best friend and colleague comes along and tries to defend her:

As a community member, I support our Asian American communities and know the pain they are feeling. As a teacher, I understand how this impacts our students and families. As school board president, I know my responsibility is to model restorative justice.

I stand in solidarity with Vice President Collins and Asian American communities. This week has been marked by hate and violence. And in this moment of pain, words matter more than ever. I appreciate that Vice President Collins has apologized for her remarks.

The board recognizes the hurt that has been caused. Discussions on race and racism create discomfort but when done correctly we contribute to the learning and growth in our community.

The City and County of San Francisco prides itself on restorative justice, and so too does SFUSD. We will stand by each other and commit ourselves to working through the process of hurt and pain. We must fight against white supremacy and misogyny, not each other.

Yup blame everything that has ever gone wrong in your life on the so-called “Rich, white, privileged, middle-aged guy”. Doesn’t matter which one because we’re “all the same”. LOL!!
