I know its cringe , I found it on r/feminism
I see this take alot , especially in feminist circles talking about how unfair it is for them to shave their legs meanwhile if you're under 5"10" you're dating life is basically going to be non-existent.
But jokes aside , women and men have different beauty standards because their different genders , like I'm going to date a woman because she's a woman , right?
Meaning she has to look like a woman and not a man , right?
And the same thing applies to women , they're going to date men who look like men , right?
Tall , strong and "rugid" is the desirable for women as they want men and not women.
But I see this take and feminists act like this is purely cultural , but there is some biological element to this , the reason why men like women is because they don't look like men , they're smaller and more "curvy" and they have breasts which is a reason why men are usually attracted to women.
I know this sounds a bit confusing , but what I'm trying to say is , that beauty standards are different by gender because of biology and culture ( to an extent ) , as men want women who look like women and women want men who look like men.
Now is this unfair? Maybe , but its laughable to suggest that hetrosexual men should have the same beauty standards as hetrosexual women.
