Hey, I recently joined and this is my first time posting. I’ve known about the movement for a long time, but recently decided to join because I thought about it for a long time and would one day like to get into politics and change some laws in the U.S. I was hesitant to join the MRAs because I was dabbling a little bit more into red pill, but not too deep because I’ve had my fair share of experiences with the radicals, but I still hold a decent amount of Red-Pill philosophy which may cause some disagreements amongst the MRAs

I watched the Red Pill documentary and there was this one guy that said a quote that stuck with me a lot. “Feminists think that gender roles came from patriarchy. It’s the other way around. Gender roles created their patriarchy”. That resonated with me a lot because I’ve always believed in that. I hear a lot of feminists and MRAs complaining about a lot of issues that stem from gender roles that I honestly don’t ever see going away.

MRAs complain about: draft, being victims of assault and rape, workplace injuries and deaths

Feminists complain about: women not being in positions of power, having more women in education, gender pay gap (I know it’s debunked)

These are the issues that I came up with on the top of my head that I hear a lot that I really don’t care about. I don’t care about them because I don’t see them going away. I see them as a result of our gender roles which were naturally established since Neanderthals ruled the earth and has evolved into the system we have now that both sides irrationally see as oppression.

The main things that I personally want to focus on are the things that really bother me. Women always say “we want equal rights to a man” and then when challenged on that, they immediately back track. Men are the ones that are being discriminated through legislation. Politics is far more flexible than evolutionary biology so that’s what I mainly want to focus on. Things like: Divorce courts, child custody, men not having a say on abortion if they don’t want the child nor to pay child support, women benefitting over men in education due to affirmative action, men having almost no access to domestic violence shelters

These are things I see as bigger issues because that’s clear and blatant discrimination. They drive me crazy. I come from a very liberal and feminist family and it blows my mind how they expect me to be feminist, care about women’s issues AND NOT seem to have a problem that this is happening to men. The other stuff I named before that I don’t care about between men and women, I personally think are things that are never going away and both sides just need to suck it up and learn how to deal with them?

  1. Is there anyone that agrees with me on this? It’s ok if you don’t, I still appreciate people’s opinions
  2. Is there anyone that can educate me on some law suits and cases that are currently being fought?
