We are not talking the past, only the present. If you don’t see the societal oppression men are placed under in today’s current system, then you are clearly not paying attention. This is coming from a man who is currently fighting the system to see my son, because the state is extraordinarily discriminatory against men in custody cases. Open your eyes.

Damn am I slow. I started writing this as soon as you posted but now that you've deleted you might not see it, Idk. But I still want to post my opinion on this based on what I have seen read and heard. warning: long and might piss you off.

I am a white woman living in America and I know I have more rights than any other gender or race in the country I reside. Statistically white people get less jail time than black people when commiting the exact same crime (sometimes even when commiting a worse crime), and women get less jail time than men when commiting the exact same or worse crime. If a man tries to force me to get pregnant It would be seen as rape and he'd get in trouble, I could also choose to have abortion or give the child up for adoption. Whereas if I were to force a man to get me pregnant it would not be seen as rape and he would have zero say in whether he wants to be liable after birth (I'm pro choice). The judicial system is extremely biased in favor of women, so much so that even when a woman is abusing her child they will still side with her in custody disputes. Thankfully there are times when that doesn't happen.

And your feminism, has done nothing but hurt men. But that isn't the problem in itself, feminism is supposed to be for women. But they still claim to be for men as well only when they can use that to bash on other men or people who support them. Feminists created the Duluth Model that tells authorities to always assume the man is the perpetrator. Feminists are against correcting sexist laws that refuse to acknowledge women can be rapists as well. Feminists shut down a shelter for abused men and bullied it's creator to suicide. Feminists turned another shelter for abused men into a gender neutral that includes both male and female victims, which is not only dumb as there are already dozens for women and almost zero for men but it is also a bad idea because some of those men were abused by women and some of those women were abused by men, which is why I won't be surprised if then men get kicked out all together. Shelters for abused women and their children, male children get kicked out once they reach a certain age because even if he had been abused as well he is no longer seen as a victim and is now a perpetrator. And where do women abused by other women go? Supposedly a feminist opened a shelter for abused men recently and if that is true then damn is that a terrible idea. Would you let a man or mra open a shelter for women and be in control of their recovery? No. Because that is stupid. Same rules apply here, with a feminist running the place they would - if the perpetrator is male, use it as further proof men are bad all the while completely ignoring the victim is also male -or if the perpetrator is female they will use it as an opportunity to say she only did this because patriarchy hurt her and you weren't believed because of patriarchy, thereby blaming the man for his abuse. Their way of "helping" would be telling him how he could do better, how he could teach himself and other men to break the toxic masculinity that made the women hurt them. That's like if a man goes to a man on woman rape victim and tells her she was raped cause she led him on or wasn't clear enough on her no. People like that are just plain evil.

And I don't care if it supposedly happens to women more. Men are less likely to report because when they do they are either laughed at or it gets turned on him. Statistics don't mean shit for that reason and the simple yet casually ignored fact that women who abuse or rape their partner are not held accountable. And even if all those stats were true it still wouldn't make a lick of a difference. It doesn't matter if it were true that only 1 man for every 100 women is a victim of rape, that does not in any way make him less important. And men make up of 75% of all homeless people yet women are the ones shelters and the media care about the most. Men make up 40% of all DV vics yet have almost no where to go to for help. Woman on woman abuse happens more frequently than woman on man, man on man or man on woman yet it is still men who are portrayed as being the sole or primary aggressors. And it is a gynocentric society that is the reason for this.

So men aren't oppressed? In some parts of the world that may be true, but where I live -in the West- it is not. Same applies for women. Where I could be oppressed for being a woman in one part of the world, I am not here. And no I do not have internalized misogyny, no I am not a pick me girl, no i am not an incel claiming to be a woman. I am an Egalitarian. I support all. Apparently that's a bad thing.
