The very thing you describe happened to me. The boy is 3. I paid for an abortion and she never got it. She has 5 children and is doing this to me and 2 other men. Never worked a day in her life. Lives off of other people. Total piece of shit.

15 more years of child support for a boy I never get to see. I hate the family courts.

Financial abandonment shouldn't lead to state sponsored pregnancy/ child care welfare. That's just transferring the responsibility from one man to many men.

I spent my whole life supporting women's right to abortion, while simultaneously being told "shut up, if you dont' want kids, don't have sex". Since I've finally come to realize that the "all for us, none for you" view of reproductive rights is a status quo there's no motivation to change, I've changed my mind and no longer believe abortion should be legal.

I think all people should have equivalent reproductive rights, so long as men have none, then that's the bar that's been set for everyone.

The argument is not about the rights of the mother or the Father it's about the child. The child had nothing to do with it and the child deserves to be taken care of. Maybe the Government should pay instead of the Father but that won't be Happening.

The Problem is the combination of

One's Right to decide over your own body, and only you.
And the right of the child to be taken care off.

So unless there is an alternative entitiy paying for child support e.g. governemnt, I don't see any of this changing. Also this has ist Problem too. It probably would raise taxes for men in General. So single men will have to cover for men that Abandon "their responsibility".

Edit: Before someone says. What About the kid's Right to life, why can the Woman decide over it? That's a completely different issue on its own and I think all human right's only take effect after being Born.
