That's the dilemma with dating apps and just another reason why it's a losing game. You definitely have to work on most chicks to get them comfortable meeting up with you (a complete stranger) in real life. In my opinion, only texting for logistics is a rule that doesn't work in the context of online dating.

I think the best strategy is to try to be interesting enough to stand out but normal enough to not fuck anything up, if that makes sense. I find that once you have an in, it's better not to play anything too risky until you actually meet up with the girl. Anything you say could result in one girl saying "this is the best thing anyone has ever said to me on tinder" and another saying "what the fuck is wrong with you?" (happened to me) so it's kind of impossible to know what you can get away with and what will work. One time getting into a conversation where the girl and I were essentially roleplaying husband and wife got a girl to come fuck me within a couple hours after we matched, another time a cheesy opener and boring conversation about music resulted in me meeting one of my favorite plates I ever had.

After using tinder for almost a couple years now and having met up with around 30 chicks, experimenting with different methods the whole time the conclusion I've come to is that you should try for a somewhat interesting opener that's specific to the girl when you can and just try to toe the line between boring and weird if she responds. Also, more importantly than anything, have good pictures that stand out and a six pack

Text only for logistics doesn’t work for online. Period. There has to be teasing/banter/sexual tension. You have to stand out and let it clear you’re there to meet in person and bang. Not to become her beta text buddy. How do you do that? Well, at first tease her about something in her pictures or profile. If you can’t think of anything, open with a line or gif that conveys sexual interest or at least some flirting. You’ll get shit tested - agree and amplify. After you’ve passed all shit tests, set up a date - same or next day at most. If that’s not possible then ask for her number/Snapchat/Instagram and hit her up at the end of the week.

I find this to be the most effective strategy. “Normal” convos get stale pretty quickly if you’re gaming chicks. For older women it might work but I’m assuming that’s not your case.

I’ve been using Tinder for a couple o months, got around 2k matches. I’m considered attractive so it does work well for me. However, it only has gotten me laid after I started acting cocky.

Once a girl showed me her Tinder inbox and guess what, 2/3 of the messages she got were along the lines of “Hey, what’s up, where are you from, what do you do for life, you’re beautiful”. So key is standing out.

Ultimately, don’t overthink Tinder - most women use it as a validation tool rather than for an actual hook up.
