If someone were in prison for a crime they didn't commit there would be a Netflix series, Dateline NBC would cover it, the mainstream media would plaster it all over the headlines, and celebrities would visit the White House pushing for funding and awareness about the case.

If a man is in financial prison for a child he didn't conceive it's business as usual in multiple states across the country...

One hundred and twenty-two years ago, the playwright August Strindberg meditated on this quandary. “The Father” is the story of a cavalry captain whose wife hints that he might not be the father of the daughter he adores. Consumed with doubt, he rages at his wife: “I have worked and slaved for you, your child, your mother, your servants . . . because I thought myself the father of your child. This is the commonest kind of theft, the most brutal slavery. I have had 17 years of penal servitude and have been innocent.”

In modern times a DNA test is less than $100 (more expensive if it's legally admissible in court because the Justice system makes everything 3-5X more expensive) and it takes as little as 7-14 days to determine paternity.

State statutes and case law vary widely, but most judges conclude that these men must continue to raise their children — or at least pay child support — no matter what their DNA says. The scientific advance that was supposed to offer clarity instead reveals just how bias and broken the family court system is in this country, a country where Justice is supposed to be blind and a man is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty...

Take this quote where judges are chastising men for merely asking for justice instead of court ordered slavery.

“The laws should discourage adults from treating children they have parented as expendable when their adult relationships fall apart,” Florida’s top court held in a 2007 paternity decision, quoting a law professor. “It is the adults who can and should absorb the pain of betrayal rather than inflict additional betrayal on the involved children.”

So the court holds the opinion that it's the victims responsibility to "absorb the pain" of the adultery and then financially punish them for the next 18-24 years. In no other court system besides the biased and broken family court system would this ever be considered acceptable, to be found not guilty in a court of law but then ordered to pay restitution to the criminal.

When considering the financial burden this places on men it becomes even more brutal, considering every state calculates child support differently it's impossible to determine the exact penalty the men will be ordered to suffer through but generally it's at least 50% to 65% of the gross income plus additional costs such as health insurance and sharing up to 90% of certain financial costs like unforeseen medical expenses, school tuition, little league fees, etc.

When taking the average salary of $60,000 gross this means that the man, who may not even be the father of the child, is responsible for paying $540,000 over the next 18 years in just child support at 50% gross income.

Let's look at how biased the system is towards federal and state assistance programs

Now factor in that man gets remarried and has a child so now he's supporting three people, you would assume that because his income is only $30k that under federal poverty guidelines they may be able to apply for some federal and state assistance... WRONG his income is still $60k gross and he's taxed on every single penny of that so that family isn't eligible. Even worse, the recipient isn't required to claim the child support as income so they can apply for whatever benefits they want to as long as her income is below the threshold.

So a man with a real family and a child that is legitimate will be punished while the adulterous ex-wife is free to live her life with an extra $540k bonus over the next 18 years.

Who wouldn't love to have that kind of money? All females need to do is cheat on the husband and they're set for life!
