Looks like the mods don't understand that whatever interface you use the content remains the same.

The old reddit still works and you can use it, but as the notice says the mods are no longer keeping the page up to date.

We still moderate the posts and comments because they also appear on the new Reddit.

I expect that add-ons like RES will probably not add new functionality to their old features.
