UK journalist Neil Lyndon is one of those people (like Warren Farrell) who started as a feminist back in 1970s and gradually became very skeptical of it, spoke out and paid the price. In 1992, when he was a writer at Sunday Times, he published a book "No More Sex War" in which he called attention to toxicity of feminism and issues that men face. It was an egalitarian book, first of its kind in UK, quite moderate in tone, and Lyndon at that time was still on the left.

As a result of this, his career got destroyed. Familiar story, of course. Similar thing happened to Farrell in the US.

But, who destroyed his career? He was at that time a writer at Sunday Times, which is published by the same company which also publishes The Times, one of the most famous papers in the world. The Times, however, is and has always been a centrist conservative paper. It is owned since 1980s by News Corp, ie. Murdoch media.

So, it was not the notorious pink-haired Marxist feminazis out of everyone's worst nightmares that ruined his career, but the centrist conservatives working for Rupert Murdoch over at News Corp. They didn't want feminist narrative questioned back in 1992, either. Conservatives chose to destroy a man's career over a fairly benign critique of feminism.
