Its not "just TV". Its the widespread transference of information that when biased against a group can turn into propaganda. But we have to be careful, as sexual differences can occur and make things extra juicy and interesting if set up correctly.

Now i havent seen a lick of vikings but as far as i know, there were no women fighters in those times. If there were, they would usually be support from the back or in some cases, they would command from a distance. They did very little if any fighting at all.

So clearly vikings isnt trying to be histprically accirate which is fine BUT... And this can be a huge world building error... If women regularly prove that they can best men in single combat, how come the male leaders are so dense as to not make them fighters? Why are there never any female expendable bad guys and more female expendable good guys? How can you find ONE woman so damn strong and let her fight yet by some miracle there arent any more?

Also if she could best men how is it possible? Brienn of tarth is just as big as any man (rare but they are out there) so it makes sense for her to be able to best men because she is big, strong and fast.

If you want to sell me that a woman can best a big man in 1 v1 she must ve a damn large woman or have special powers at LEAST. Because we have already estavlished in the world that muscles mean strength and speed.

There is also the clishe that small women are of dense muscle and are very nimble. But its never explained and historically, large strong men were feared not onlt because of their strength, but because it eas correctly known that strength means speed and strong men can be very nimble as well because it takes them less effort to swing the same weight sword as the nimble woman is carrying.

So its not that women are buffed, MEN are actually NERFED as fuck in these kinds of shows. Again if a woman has special kind of dense muscle it woild need to be well explained to not be a world building error.

Watch “Norsemen” instead. It is gleefully politically incorrect and the actors are all actually Scandinavian instead of actors from elsewhere doing horrendous accents.

They do not present the Vikings as heroic or attractive at all. They are totally honest about how brutal the Vikings were. There is even a female Viking who rapes male fighters before she kills them, then cuts off their penises, dries them out and wears them on a necklace.
