How do i cold approach without violating social norms

Approach women without the idea that you want them or want anything from them, other than to elicit positive small talk/chit chat.

For example, today I am traveling home for xmas, I'm at the bus stop, I get inline for a protien smoothie at some hipster juice shack, there is girl in line with a tight ass, black yoga pants...i order and step aside sorta looking at the different products, she asks the clerk what do u recommend, blah blah blah, I say to her just get what I got...and the clerk says it's not a bad choice..blah blah. Ok she orders same but sifferent favor...and steps aside by me.

I look at her and said nice jacket, she then says I got it second hand for 20 bucks...I said I use to wear them, but the used one looks so much better, I reach out and touch the jacket, she let's me...I said did you get it at the Second hand place named x by me...she says no but I heard of that place, I was like I live near there..

any way my shake is ready and I grab it and she say goodbye with a smile...I personally determined that i cpuldnt afford to wait because the bus was starting to board...and say goodbye and walk away. I also knew there was a chance she could be getting on my bus, so I could exercise the option of sitting next to her if the situation presented it and that would have been a natural development...by the end of the trip I could have set something up...

See what I mean...you have to talk to women in natural settings just for the sake of convo being social and see what develops...

Edit: eye contact is important to generate emotion and display confidence. I use the 3 second rule. I don't want to stare and certainly don't want to immediately look away. So unless I have something to say immediately I wait 3 seconds of eye contact and then interact. You also give her a chance to say something and if she does thats better sign for you.

What the fuck is social norms? Fuck social norms. Approach a woman with the mentality that she wants something from you. That's it. If you are nervous when approaching a woman, chances are that you feel like you want her to give you something. Be it sex, her phone number, you're interrupting her precious time because you are not worthy, whatever. Those are the reasons why you're nervous. But if you feel like she wants something from you, especially if it's something that you are not inclined to give it to her, your interaction with her will be much easier. You'll be able to talk to her without tripping over your words and you'll have more fun.

Just be sly about it. Act like you dropped something in front of them or something. Tell them you noticed her shirt was cool and then create conversation after. It doesn't have to to be a "cold approach". Just go meet a person. Just pay attention to wether or not the situations appropriate for it and act appropriate.
