Hey guys, I'm a 26 year old student, I was at Chico State but I failed out of University. I'll be receiving my dismissal I assume within the next 2 weeks.

I grew up with pretty shitty goals, just wanting a minimum wage job to buy games and pay the bills. Then one day, like maybe a month ago I realized I really want more out of my life, but I've already fucked up my life pretty badly.

I'm 26 years old, actually 27 now my birthday was a few days ago.I have 15K in student debt. I've failed Uni

I still want to become a man that I can be proud of though, so I've been weighing my options. So far I have two ideas,

1.) I join the Navy and use the benefits to help pay down my loans and get education at the same time. I've done a -little- research so I know it's not a "fix me" solution or a cakewalk. If I do it I'll be prepared to give it my all. It just makes me nervous because I know it's not a decision you can undo, and I'm already getting along in years by the time I get out I would be in my 30s.

2.) My second option is I am a Starbucks employee, Starbucks offers reimbursed tuition through ASU Online...I'm not sure if the government will still give me loans considering my atrocious academic record but I know I'm ready now. At least this way I would be able to get a degree and maybe a job decent enough to pay off my loans at a respectable rate. The only issue here is I have absolutely no idea what I want to study or major in.

I figured I should ask the TRP since this is dedicated to bettering ourselves as men.

In essence, should I join the Navy or continue pursuing education through ASU to dig myself out of this student debt hole? I really wish I hadn't taken the loans out, I feel like such an idiot.

And I apologize if this is the wrong place.
