I was bored one day and watched a guy wash his car... realizing I could buy supplies and wash my car for less than 2 trips to the local car wash.

I washed my car, but wanted to wash another car, but still had time, so I wash another. Made an llc and now I drive a Lamborghini. Vroom vroom beep beep.

My friend and I started a website right out of college about finance. We really didn't know what we were doing right out of college and had no credible backgrounds. We both worked full time jobs and worked on the website. As time went on (years) we became experts, and financial professionals started wanting to buy information from us. We started making hundreds of thousands of dollars after a while we quit our jobs. As the money continued to grow we became less of friends and I left. I'm doing my next big thing now. It's honestly all about having a good business model and consistently working on something and educating yourself.

Quora is a gold mine but I want to hear the silver.

What did you find on Quora that leads you to make this statement? I generally find them full of SJW nonsense and anti-capitalist bullshit for some reason. Most of the questions I try to get answered there, unless they are purely technical such as computer-related issues, end up getting lost in electronic kudzu and bad advice.

Employment and startups are a matter of luck. A cousin who is a career mentor to me. He's a few months older than I. We did the same bachelors. Though, that's where our paths diverged. He moved to England for his first job, I moved to Belgium having not been able to find a job... a few months later, I found a contract in Denmark and moved here.

In 2003, he met a lady in Google HR and was brought in by her. Google went IPO a few months later, he was wealthy beyond any of our dreams. Now he does VC work in the Bay Area and I'm still working in Denmark, waiting for my break.
