People have fetishes through positive association formed through childhood occurrences, or learned behaviour through things like porn.

Vanilla porn or sex can get boring. Dopamine is like a drug and it’s released into the brain for a whole bunch of reasons as a reward ( such as finding sugar or fatty foods as a means of survival, the sight of a woman who is sexually attractive etc.) another reason for dopamine release is novelty, aka seeing something or experiencing something that is NEW.

Like any drug, we can get used to it. In this case, we need a bigger hit. If you get your dopamine release during sex from novelty, you will crave things that are new because vanilla sex no longer does it for you.

Porn is awful for this because you beat your meat too often. Suddenly that bikini base can’t make you cum. Then it’s naked women. Then it’s anal. Then it’s feet.
