This is hanging over my head. Last weekend I get an email from my lawyer saying GAL is going to recommend alternating weekends because the summer before the divorce I spent more time with my kid than ex did. Kid said she thought this was fair, but it's what my ex has been saying, "it's not fair" but every year we did the same thing and it was fine then. I'm going from stay at home dad to alternating weekends. I raised that kid while ex was at work, and now that she's a teen I'm alternating weekends. This isn't about child support. This is about being a father. I don't have much money. Is this a forgone outcome? We have mediation before next hearing, but I'm guessing ex is going to fight this as hard as she can just to twist the knife.
