The idea of linking maturity with suicide (as I see another poster mentioned as I can't read past paywall) is quite disgraceful. It is a feminist doing a loop-da-loop to try an explain away the gender gap in suicide. A very poor attempt at it also. remember there's cannot be an issue males face to a more extreme because it threatens the "male privilege" narrative.

it's good that this article was written as it brings some awareness about the mental health sitation of boys including describing gender specific symptoms and pointing out that those are missing from study / survey questionaires.

Sadly, it takes a destinctly feminist bent when it comes to suggested solutions 🙁 which will only make it worse.
