Boyfriend 55M broke my 39F finger and is now in jail and I feel sick about it

We got in a fight. First there was yelling and then he punched my hand that was against a wall and broke my finger. I panicked and called 911. They send the cops. I made a statement. They arrested him and took him to jail. He’s going to be in jail until he sees a judge probably not until Tuesday. I’m waiting to see a doctor about my hand, and feel sick about my boyfriend spending the weekend in jail. Looking for advice on how to cope. I just wish none of this had ever happened and I could be just spending the weekend happy with him.
