I was engaged to a girl for two years and three months, when I was between 13 and 15 years old.
I worked 50 hours a week as a landscaper. One day, my parents sent me to a juvenile detention center in a program because they had no more room for me at home or in foster care and according to them I was not autonomous enough to go to an apartment.
After about six months, the girl told me she couldn’t wait for me anymore and that she had met someone else. She had relationship problems with her father and she needed male presence, my presence, but I was locked up so she started taking the pill, doing drugs, cheating on me and leaving me. It could have stopped there but no.
To not look mean in everyone’s eyes because she was leaving me for no valid reason, she started making up that I had raped her or something like that. Each person told me different stories and even her best friend told me she knew it was false and that it didn’t make sense but well the reality is that I come from a Christian family and I waited three months for her to open up to me without really insisting and I would have waited longer without problem.
It was her who wanted me when she decided to drink one night just three or four beers we were not even drunk (I was more of a pot smoker it’s rare that I bought beer by myself I don’t like the taste). But well, she still made up the opposite to victimize herself and attract the attention of the men she missed all her life. Because of that, I had to forge myself a warrior mindset.
I was always ready if something happened. I carried a weapon in a backpack etc. Four years later, Nick Pronovost calls me and threatens to come fight me. I didn’t know him, I didn’t understand anything I just knew he was one of her new boyfriends. So I tell the people at home to leave it was going to shake hard. He comes in front of my house to fight me. They are a gang of nine in total and I am alone on my terrace 3rd floor. He starts yelling at me that they are going to come get me.
I had a guard dog that I had trained American bulldog of 92 pounds and I had a bow with 70 pounds of pressure with hunting tip arrows. I had even prepared all my tools and furniture to throw at them while they climbed the stairs to the 3rd floor. I can tell you that when they saw my device, the dog and me excited ready to defend myself, they turned around and went back home. And that’s how and why I kept weapons on me for a good part of my youth and it saved my life.
