Any good books on class based or minority men’s issues

I don't have any book reccs but if you wanna know more about black men there is Dr Hasan Johnson and he goes in depth on black men's issues, but if you kniw the general stuff men face then you gotten basically 40% of what there is to know about black male issues, he basically goes into how black men experience and interpret these issues.

Edit: I believe he also offers book reccs every know again on his streams, and I reccomend watching his streams and not his videos. There's far more depth there than the snippet you get from the videos.

Here's his agenda and it basically goes over his plan of action to support black men specifc issues.

The Man Not: Race Class Genre and the Dilemmas of Black Manhood by Dr Tommy Curry.

Dr Curry is a trailblazer in academia regarding studying the gendered issues regarding black men. He currently is the leader in Africana Studies in Edinburgh Scotland. Hes been considered controversial in academia primarily because he challenges feminism particularly intersectionality, and has write extensive criticisms and argued about how racist misandry that feminism, including black feminism has been, and how it simplifies and obfiscates issues surrounding black men.

Keep in mind its not all he writes about. Hes not a feminist, but belives in gender equality, does not deny that women have legit issuez, and not purely anti feminist per se. He often/mostly cites racist ethnology at the turn of the 19th century, and inbthe book only mentions feminism is for a chapter that its just a steeped in as much as any other framework, even tho it gets extricated in the guise of "womens liberation". His work and citations are very thorough and Its just his observations on feminism, which books by bell hooks or Crenshaw, who works dominate how academia largely reads black men today, gets the cool kids online riled up because hes a compelling advocate with compelling data, and arguments that they cant comfortably contradict. He had been critical before but since the book he has leaned into expanding on that(amongst other things of course). I believe he was a national debate champion in college. Richard Reeves, whos probably the most mainstream advocate for young men, has even cited him and has talked about some dire things regarding black boys, particularly in education. I even know hes worked with Latino men who are in academia and discovered his work and found parallels and spoken on live streams(cant recall one guy, ill look it up)

Hes interested in queer black men too, tho he admits hes currently working to investigate it and hasnt written much on it to this point.

The guy is an intellectual giant that actually wants to reframe how we understand gender, no matter who it inconvieneces.
