Rock and a hard place. Can't fault a man for wanting to look after his daughter.

It's always disheartening to be reminded that no matter how good a provider you are, how good looking, how much income you generate, your woman can still go full bitch on you. And heaven help you when she does, because there isn't a single legal recourse available to you if you're anything more than just dating.

See how the /r/pussypass works? When they got your kid, they wield incredible power over your life. Also, you can be damn sure that if it was him yelling and smashing things - his ass would be in jail. You see how noble and forgiving he is? How compassionate he was even though she was flipped the fuck out, screamed at him and destroyed his property? You think women are that noble, compassionate and forgiving? Fuck no they aren't - especially when they sniff a payday.

He's all noble now buying her a car and dishing out $600 a month, but as soon (very soon) as she figures out he's really done - and this isn't a temporary breakup - she'll get bitter and try to hook some other stooge into supporting her (and probably come after him for more child support).

The situation changes when another man goes into your ex's house. Your money starts going towards his beer and his weed - and your kids are wearing high waters and need new shoes.

The problem is he's used to providing for her, and even though they are broke up he's still in that mode. When some other dude starts banging her, I guarantee you he's not going to feel compelled to provide for her any more. He's going to want 50-50 custody and pay her shit.

I suppose $600/mo - it could be worse. Although when it comes to your kids, raising them is more important than working 60 hours a week. I know a guy has to survive, but it's times like these when college starts looking like a viable option. You can't live off physical labor forever - you got a good 20 years tops before it really starts to take it's toll on you. At some point you have to start using your mind instead of your back. Also, I have a feeling his kid is going to need him to step up at some point seeing that the mom is a drunk loser.

On the bright side, he's starting to improve himself.

...going to the gym, cleaning up his diet, focusing on positives and ditching the crazy.

I think although its a good blue pill example, it's a good point in his life to take the red pill. Did anyone suggest the sub to him, I wonder?
