would appreciate any advice you lads could give me.

My approach is usually just to be cheeky and take the piss a little
bit have some banter and get a number and a date arranged quickly.
I'm wondering whether I plan the date too early in the interaction though?
Should I have more banter & flirting before I plan the date.
Should also mention my profile picture has a pic of me in a tight t-shirt with my arms popping.
I'm about as big as Brad pitt was in fight club.

I've been advised to not say shit until she says shit. But is there really any harm in saying something like:
"Hope you're ready to have a laugh tonight, I'll be at the (location) at 6."
