Most (avoiding to say ALL, exceptions are rare indeed) young women who work as promoters and hostesses in such club actually have sex with guys who run the place, or happen to be in charge of anything. They are literally "passed around". Hearing how this case was brought recently about something that happened 1/4 of a century ago, I guess it's mainly initiated due to "guilt" she felt after she told it to her (current) boyfriend, so he pressed her to report the case and she did.

I never feel the need to "defend" these guys either - they have the money and connections and the only way they'll really be screwed is if someone their level (or higher) is setting up a case against them over something. Your average guy has no such case of security and is way more likely to get f*cked over he-said-she-said.
