Meditate. And keep trying. It's like cooking, just knowing the recipe isn't going to make the meal, there's still a lot of mechanical skill involved. Those you can only learn by repeatedly doing it and reviewing what you did wrong and fixing it.

There's a shit ton of things when it comes to social interactions that you'll never learn unless you active live them.

On top of that, there's another shit ton of things you think you've learned because you've read them, and you actually haven't.

You're on the right path though. Keep practising, keep learning. things will eventually start falling into place in your head as they happen, and soon enough you'll be able to feel the flow and simply enjoy yourself.

In my experience it's great to read and learn new stuff.

Try thinking about past situations where your new knowledge could've been used. It's important not to feel bad about it, it's just a thought experiment. The past is the past and you can't change it so don't worry about it.

Then, as you go through life, try and consider the previous couple of days, to see if there were any situations you could've handled differently.

Doing this for a while you'll eventually be able to act in the situations as they're happening.
