The Worker Protection Bill, introduced by Wera Hobhouse MP, is about to become law in the UK. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-67169750

This bill places a duty on employers to stop harassment, instead of relying on workers to report it. It allows for a 25% increase in compensation for sexual harassment cases where employers have failed to take reasonable steps. The original bill made employers liable for 'harassments' perpetrated by customers and third parties!

The article indicates that some MPs are getting sick of compensation being handed out for all of life's rich tapestry. 'We need to stop bringing forward what I call PERFORMATIVE LEGISLATION, outlawing behaviour which we disapprove of...... immoral conversations, bad manners, actions likely to cause hurt and distress.... we cannot legislate against all of these.'

Can't the drivers of such legislation see that, eventually, there will be no jobs? No one will be able to underwrite the risk involved in being an employer.
