Yes. All the time. 15 years ago I threw a party at my apartment. We were running low on booze, so a friend of a friend offered to run me to the convenience store to grab some beer. (I was too drunk to drive, she had only had a beer)

We went to the store 6 blocks away, but down a 25mph downtown street. She had a Mustang GT, and flew down the road at like 60mph. I told her to slow down, no need to get a speeding ticket. She just laughed. After getting the beer, she went even crazier, hitting 75mph down a tight “Main Street” style road, and sure enough, blue lights appear.

When the cops approached he was pretty pissy, as expected. She handed him her license and her dad’s card. Turns out her dad was second in command of the sheriffs department.

The cop went back to his squad car, a few minutes passed, then he came back and said, “ Stop speeding.”

That was it. We left for my apartment.
