So the article says that there are no national requirements in the US to track male vs female graduation rates, and only a handful of states do have these numbers. And from the data they do have we see that boys have always always lagged behind girls in graduating high school, ever since the introduction of public education back in the 1940's in the US (this pattern holds true in every Western democratic country in the world). Yet despite not even tracking the phenomenon, this article ends by quoting a researcher who says it's obvious that the problem is not societal or systemic in any way. What a load of bullcrap.
