Wanna bet? I think it's pretty high. 70% of non-reciprocal domestic violence is by women.

You’re right

Makes sense considering the double standard of don’t hit women no matter what. That shit is ingrained to a lot of boys especially those from single mom homes and we already know how many homes are single moms. Sure there’s other reasons like genuine fear, fear of legal action if they defend themselves, and fear of judgement/disbelief from cops

80% of all single parent homes are single moms

Yup. I think you pretty much covered it as far as reasons go. I could never just stand there and let a woman beat me though.

Thanks for sharing!

It's very encouraging to see the topic getting such a level headed treatment.

Honestly, if a woman I loved decided to abuse me like that, I'd secretly move out in the middle of the night, taking everything with me, leaving only a note saying this.

"Usually it's the woman that has to run because of domestic violence. How ironic it is then that I am leaving. You know, I used to be in love with you, but the way You've been treating me lately has been unacceptable. Sorry, but I can no longer see you anymore. Not when you've been treating me this way."

From there, I'd probably go secretly live with some supportive relatives who would harbor me in case the bitch tried saying to the police I abused her and all that blah blah blah bullshit.

Don't make the mistake of assuming you're immune to mental manipulation. As the saying goes "there is no easier a mark than a man who believes himself too smart to be fooled."

I've been manipulated enough to know how to identify it and not let it affect me again, and I won't let it happen again. Never again.

It includes physical violence, sexual violence, threats, economic, and emotional/psychological abuse
