I get a lot of hate because I don't like Bell as an actress. She plays the same role in everything. Some overly try too hard to be relatable character. 90% of her roles are her saying dude and man over and over to remind us she's "rad", "hip", and "relatable".

The thing about these movies is, people act like we're reading too much into them or like we're nuts to see them this way.

A movie that got me was The Last Dragon.

In the beginning the female lead's manager goes to her and is begging her to play the tape Eddie Arcadia gave to her (main villain). He is literally telling her hi life is in danger and please just play the tape. Begging, pleading. Telling her hes dangerous

She tells him, "My life isn't full of that... Drama." and refuses.

The manager disappears never to be heard from again.

The female lead is then sought out by Eddie Arcadia due to no fault of her own. She didn't seek him out or get involved with him. he jut sought her out to get the tape played on the radio. The female lead never stops and thinks, "Wait, maybe my manager didn't seek him out either! Maybe he was targeted just like me!" Nope, she just leaves it wrote off as him having "drama" in his life.

She then chases around Bruce Leroy and lives happily ever after with him. Never going to the cops about her manager, asking around if he is okay, nothing.

There is a movie from the 80s where a woman wants to prove life is easier as a man. So she dresses up like a boy. This big meat head guy beats the crap out of a much smaller guy because he looked at him funny. The woman dressed as a boy approaches and is running her mouth. Because she is used to being able to as a woman. But the movie can't show a woman getting her butt kicked. So she just get a pass and the meat head physically assaults more men.

I watched it just last weekend. The character was an objectively bad person. I don't think you need to feel outrage when a villainous character does villainous things.

I grant the waters are muddied a little bit with her being a villain protagonist. But I just saw that scene as reinforcing the idea that she isn't good people. I don't think the movie was trying to condone it.

This movie was trash typical feminist trash produced by Netflix. On the one hand I’m happy they’re highlighting female criminals but at the same time they kind of romanticized it to make it seem like they didn’t really do anything bad although they stole millions of dollars.

Isn’t it insinuating that they don’t like each other and they are getting a divorce? That’s what I got from it and why she wouldn’t care about her husband opinion on the matter.

She doesn’t tell him because she had asked him for a divorce. You must have missed that part. But no one is going to uphold them as paragons of virtue. They are criminals.
