Smiling is huge, but when stares at you for 2+ seconds. There are girls who will look at you 20 times and if you catch her, she looks away so there is no time to smile.

The proper move that I found is to just move over to them, and extend your hand.
If they proceed to grab it, game is on lock.
If they don’t, move to another girl.
