Most emotionally mature women would not have any issue with your state of hyper-arousal, I'm sure a few would even enjoy it. Big penises can be a bit painful and difficult to take, but just remember to use extra lube, enjoy lots of foreplay and find positions that are most comfortable for your partner.

I didn't mean to come off as invalidating. My best advice would be, remember that your ex is not a reflection of all the women in the world.
I know it's hard to let go of the idea that something is wrong because it was your first sexual partner and all you 'knew' up until this point.
As I mentioned before, many women would embrace you as you are and would not feel insecure if you stay hard after sex. Literally I don't know in what universe that could be a bad thing to someone, I would be flattered if anything or accepting in the very least.
Your ex partner sounds young and immature. Please broaden your horizons and get back into the dating game! You may be lucky to find women who are open-minded, encouraging, and comfortable with their sexuality and with yours.
You are not broken, and no stable and mature woman will see you that way.
