Wish I could give you a detailed breakdown of each interaction, but it was two days ago and I was quite drunk, so you're going to have to make do with the "abriged" version. I'm a 21 year old French guy in France, white but overall pretty tanned, pretty thin (6' or 183 cm, 67 kg or almost 150 lbs) but very fit from having spent half my awake time working out since covid hit. Blue eyes, brown hair with a buzzcut, no beard. I was with four male friends, but three of them were somewhere else in the club when I made my approaches, so I was only with the pal who put me up that night (I live with my parents, in a nearby town).

After drinking a bit with my mates at a bar, we went to the club at around 1 am (a bit late, not my fault, a couple friends took forever to come join us at the bar). After a bit more drinking and dancing, overall just enjoying the night, my pal made me notice a very cute girl, whom I approached, fueled with liquid courage (that's a disclaimer -I was way too drunk to be good at this, but I still think I did pretty good).

Now, my approaches probably need a bit of work, I'm not very good at those, especially in French, despite that being my first language. The first one I don't even really remember to be honest, just that the girl was pretty unresponsive. The second one was more interesting. She was a very cute Argentinian girl, which meant I could switch to English! I told her she was very pretty, asked her what she was doing in France, got her name, but not much else came from this sadly. The third one was a cute girl who oddly enough wasn't dancing or anything, in fact her friends were dancing, but she was sitting in a corner, looking pretty bored. I went to talk to her, telling her she looked bored out of her mind, she was fairly responsive, but soon one of her friends stopped me, physically placing herself in between us. Not wanting trouble, I backed off, pretty bummed. Going back to my pal, he told me that one of the guys in her group of friends was mortified that I went and talked to her. It's dumb but it felt very good, like I was flexing on past me (orbiting a girl and seeing other dudes talk to her with success, been there, done that).

At that point, closing time was nearing, but me and my pal noticed a girl joining that same group, and my god was she a straight 10. In fact she's the only girl I remember well enough to rate, even today. And guess what, I didn't approach her. Looking back on it, I definitely should have, but approach anxiety got the best of me. Well, that and trying to guess whether or not she was over 18 (stay safe fellas). She left the club, I assume to get some fresh air or something, and I told myself I'd approach when she comes back in, but turns out she didn't come back haha. I regretted it, but I already approached more people than I had in my entire life, so I didn't let this bring me down.

While leaving once the club closed down, I chatted up a cute blonde at the pub, and actually got her number! Sent her a text after I left, and she asked me if I had anything planned later. As much as I would have loved doing the afterparty with her, my pal was tired, and to be honest, so was I. So I just asked her what was still open at that time; she didn't answer. Had I lived alone, I think I would have shot my shot and offered her to come over at my place, but hey, logistics are a bitch. Still, I got her number, and I'll probably hit her up if when I go out again! After that I went home, slept for an hour and a half, then took the first train home and slept some more in my bed.

So, overall, not a huge win, I got rejected a couple times, probably rejected myself a couple times too, but I did get a number, and most importantly, got more comfortable with night game! I'll definitely do it again, and who knows, this time I might be more successful! If there's one thing I have to take from this night, it's to drink less before approaching (that I already knew), and that it's not that scary once you're there. It's the little things!

I'd love to hear your thoughts and advice about all this! Most of the times I backed off because I just couldn't think of things to say, plus the girl didn't seem that responsive to my approaches, so I'm especially open to advice about this!
