I wanted to share a recent experience with a girl and maybe some of us can learn a lesson.

I was at this event and I was 4 beers down. This girl bought her beer and looked around and I made eye contact and smiled and she approached me. We started talking and it was engaging at the beginning. Then I got a bit over excited cuz I was a bit drunk and I started talking about random shit instead of keeping to the topics she would be interested in and letting her talk more.

I could sense the exact moment she didn't want to engage in the conversation anymore and she was looking for ways to get out of it haha. I knew there and then that I had fucked up.

I felt pretty stupid about it but it taught me a lesson that sometimes you need to just STFU. Not to be completely silent of course but also not babbling random shit too. I think there is a fine balance which you have to get better at.
