I'm in a tricky spot.

I'm in Brooklyn but on the water so I'm very close to Manhattan, probably closer than a lot of commutes within Manahattan.

Whenever I've had an agreed date lately I'm dreading the end part where I say I'm in BK. I name a spot for drinks then sometimes get the "Can we do Manhattan" line

If I'm expecting to pay, am I also expected to commute there and back to her?

There really isnt any meet in the middle here.

And for reference, it's like a 20-30 minute commute from Manhattan usually. Pretty simple!

I'm curious what others think here or do if in similar situations. I've had plenty of first dates by me.
