I would say it depends on how you want to use it. It is a good place to keep in touch with people and if you want to use it for that purpose I’d say knock yourself out.
However, in my opinion, all the bragging, all the groups etc. just wast your time. Time that you could use to spend with your friends, working on yourself or anything you like to do.
I personally only use messenger to talk to my friends. One thing about that I still can’t figure out is what is wrong with texting and iMessage or whatever… nowadays when I meet new people I only exchange phone numbers but that’s me

Make sure to attach a small pdf while you want to send your resume to girls , they don't really have time to go through your whole resume .
social media ONLY if you can show a top 1% life or top 1% looks : this way it brings you some effortless lays when you can't approach in real life at 3 a.m
OR if you really have a shitty life & shitty looks with dog-shit confidence but you are a pro at faking stuff : this way it brings you some result , some social circles and may help you get laid.
even if you have a GREAT ( top 10% ) looks with good life , social media is useless .
