Quick reflection of a solo night out to the bar on a busy Sat. I’m by no means skilled or even intermediate in night game, and it really showed last night, for the most part.

3 positive outcomes/takeaways:

1.) Mindset was better this time, which is incredibly important when solo. Told myself I was going out simply to have fun, was able to get in-set straight away.

2.) Planted the seed for social circle expansion. Met the bartender who was off work and introduced myself to her friend group (girls and guys). Got free drinks and a couple snaps.

3.) Warm-up sets were fun and slightly flirty. Didn’t pursue further because of the social circle aspect.

Here’s where shit went downhill, fast:

1.) Once warmed up, it was game time. I fucked that up royally. Opening was weak, much weaker than last time. Eye contact, facial expressions, and vocal tonality regressed.

2.) Blew out three sets in a row, very quickly. This contributed to a breakdown of my inner game, due to the fact the weekend prior yielded better results and longer sets.

3.) Allowed myself to enter a negative state, and observed all of the ‘resting bitch faces’ throughout the venue. This was likely a false perception of reality.

At this point, I decided to call it a night (about midnight) and made my way to the exit. On the way out, I had a potential three set right in front of me, but didn’t approach. I should have… “just one more”. Not to mention the two others in-between blowouts.

Summary: This was my third night out solo, and overall, I’m frustrated with my performance.

My question to the more experienced guys would be how to handle a rut in game while maintaining a high level of confidence and composure.
